FAQs

If you have any questions for our FAQs, please send them in and we will be happy to answer them.

Q: "What IS Karaoke?"

A: We shall leave this for the Singa Blog to answer. Please follow this link for 6 questions on Karaoke that they have answered: https://singa.com/blog/6-questions-about-karaoke-you-didnt-ask-but-we-answered/

Q: "How much do you charge?"

A: For public/private events, we charge £180 for the first 3 hours, and an additional £50 for each additional hour.

For more information and prices on our different packages, see our Karaoke Services page.

Q: "Is there a booking fee or deposit, and why do I have to pay it?"

A: Yes, there is a deposit of £50. We feel that £50 isn't exactly "breaking the bank", and ask for this as a way of you securing your booking so that we log in our calendar.

Q: "Do you charge a higher rate for Weddings?"

A: Yes. For weddings, we charge a £150 setup fee, £200 for the first 3 hours, and an additional £80 for each additional hour.

For more information, see our Karaoke Services page.

Q: "How do we pay you for your services?"

A: We are currently accept payments through BACS transfer, PayPal, Cash and EventUK.

For venues that are applicable, we are also registered with C247 (Craft Union Pubs) & SAP Concur (Greene King Pubs).

Q: "Why is the song I want to sing not on your system?"

A: We use the Karafun online karaoke system. This pulls over 63,000+ songs from the internet for us to use at any one time. We can request for songs to be added to this system, however, this may not always be possible as there are copyrights in place on certain songs which will have been issued by the original artist or their music labels. If you have a song that you would like to sing with us in future, send it to us on social media or via email, and we will do our best to get it on there for you.
Alternatively, let us know the song you want us to find the next time you see us and we will add it to the ever growing list.

Q: "Do I have to sing?"

A: No, of course not. However, may be a bit pointless hiring us! 😆
We will always encourage people to sing, but if you 100% don't want to, we understand and won't force you.

Q: "How is your Karaoke different from others?"

A: We think that our Karaoke is set apart from usual karaoke nights as all of the equipment is part of a high-quality professional sound set-up, with the aim of providing an experience to remember!

Additionally, Adam, is actually a singer! So as well as Karaoke, you also get a singer who can entertain between song submissions on the night!

Furthermore, if requested, we can also try to get a couple of Karaoke games in the evening as well; Karaoke Teams (Men vs Women, Group A vs Group B, etc), Karaoke Quizzes and Karaoke Roulette!

Q: "Why are you, the hosts, singing?"

A: We get up on the microphones to introduce ourselves, but also to keep a good flow going when there are any potential quiet periods during an event.

Q: "Are you DJ's?"

A: No, we are KJ's! (Karaoke Jockey's). We do not run a full DJ's set up and do not have the same software/hardware that they would require.

If you are happy with us providing Music via a Spotify playlist (with crossfade) in between singers, along with our usual RGB lighting, props, etc, then we would be more than happy to attend your event and provide entertainment. Hopefully, alongside our main Karaoke.

However, if you have an in-house DJ that you will be using for an upcoming Wedding, we are also happy to work alongside them, co-ordinating our actions between us and them.

Q: "Why are you taking photos? We haven't given your permission!"

A: When we are booked by a client, we ask them whether they would like us to take photos or not, and whether they could be uploaded to our social media or sent to them privately. So if we are taking photographs, it is because the client has asked us to.

However, if you do not want photographs or yourselves or your family taken on the night, just let us know and we will avoid doing so, as welll as deleting any we may have already taken.

Q: "What do you do when you need Karaoke?"

A: Just A.S.K!
